Ryan Bailey
Head of Investments
Children's Health System of Texas

Ryan Bailey is the Head of lnvestments at Children's Health, where he oversees $1.5 billion in assets. Ryan and his team are responsible for creating and managing the investment strategy for the Hospital's pension, foundation, operating cash, and long term pools. As the Hospital's inaugural investment officer, Ryan established the department, designing and implementing the systems, processes, and governance structures required in the formation of a top tier endowment office. 

 

Prior to Children's Health, Ryan served as Investment Officer and Interim CIO of the Meadows Foundation. In this capacity, he drove the due diligence process, aided the development of strategic asset allocation, and constructed and implemented investment strategy to achieve competitive performance. He has also worked as an Analyst in the Equity Research Departments of Solomon Smith Barney, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse First Boston. 

 

Ryan graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He holds a number of certifications including: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA), and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. In 2000, he founded a trading company located on the 83rd floor of World Trade Center One and later, after surviving the events on 9/11, relocated to Dallas, Texas. Ryan was featured in the June 2011 issue of D magazine, was named one of the 40 under 40 in the April 2015 edition of Asset International-Chief Investment Officer Magazine (aiCIO), and was also a finalist for the aiCIO's 2015 Next Generation Award. Ryan currently serves as a Director on the board of Blue Dolphin Energy (BDCO) and is an Angel for the Texas Wall Street Women.

Jennifer Silver

Redwood Investments

Firm Responsibilities
Jennifer founded Redwood Investments in 2004 and is responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. She serves as Co-CIO and Portfolio Manager/Analyst for all Redwood strategies. She has primary research coverage responsibilities for consumer and health care stocks. She is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and has 35 years of investment experience.

 

Prior to Redwood Investments
Jennifer has extensive investment management experience and managed several four and five star Morningstar rated funds during her career. Jennifer was a Managing Director and Head of Growth Equity for Neuberger Berman where she launched the firm’s growth investing capabilities. Under her direction, the Growth Equity business grew to more than $5 billion in assets. Prior to Neuberger Berman, she spent 16 years at Putnam Investments culminating with a senior leadership role as a Managing Director. She was responsible for starting and building the $5 billion Putnam MidCap Growth business serving institutional, mutual fund, and variable annuity clients.

Jennifer is a Board Director and Chair of the Finance Committee at the BI Deaconess Medical Center, past Board Chair and Director of the Hebrew Senior Life and a Pan Mass Challenge Fundraiser/Biker Rider.
