Leslie Spencer

Leslie Spencer has 20 years of experience in the securities markets. She has expertise in the marketing and structuring of institutional debt and the marketing of investment products and services to the public sector.

Since April, 2004, Ms. Spencer has been the Vice President, Institutional Fixed Income for American Beacon Advisors. Established in 1986, American Beacon is an experienced provider of investment advisory services to institutional and retail markets.  American Beacon serves defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, foundations, endowments, corporations, and other institutional investors. As primary lead for public sector new business, Ms. Spencer promotes the firm’s brand both regionally and nationally.

Prior to entering the investment management industry, Ms. Spencer was a Vice President with Ramirez & Co., Inc., the oldest minority-owned investment banking firm in the nation. She was instrumental in establishing a West Coast presence for the New York headquarterd firm. During her 12 year tenure, she worked with state, local and regional municipalities to structure and underwrite municipal debt.

Ms. Spencer began her career as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch. She received a BS in Management from Pepperdine University.
